Costs
I have a minimum call out charge of £30 for up to one hour's work, with additional work time charged per hour at the same rate. After a home visit I will leave a help sheet with some tips to let you keep your computer clean and in working order.
For an additional £30 I can set things up so you can call me and I can do up to an hour's worth of quick fixes free, without the need for a visit (broadband users only).
Packages
Many people have similar computer problems, so I have put some common complaints into packages with an upfront cost. Many other services are available, and these will be charged by the hour.
- Wireless setup - I will install your wireless router and set up encryption to stop your naughty neighbours from stealing your broadband connection or spying on your activity. I will also configure and test your internet firewall to see if you are protected from the internet. £50
- Initial Internet setup - I will configure and test your broadband connection, setup and test your email system. I will also configure and test your internet firewall to see if you are protected from the internet. £50
- Online Automatic Backup (broadband only) - I can set things up so that your precious files are regularly and automatically backed up to secure storage on the internet. This will give you peace of mind in case a mechanical failure or nasty virus destroys data. £50
